BORIS IN A DRAMATIC U-TURN OVER PLANNING

According to the Evening Standard, Boris Johnson has made dramatic U-turn over his decision to block a £1billion development to build three towers in central London because of their impact on a historic view. Boris is being accused of having various ’schmoozes’ with the developers behind closed doors, since he opposed the planning in July and is more or less giving the scheme the green light now.

Mira Bar-Hillel, Property Correspondent at The Evening Standard reports, in July the Mayor opposed the scheme in Waterloo, known as Elizabeth House but nicknamed the Three Ugly Sisters, which Lambeth council wanted to approve. This week he withdrew his objections.

    Until lending criteria is relaxed I can not see that house prices will rise too much in the future. The Banks simply do not have the money to lend to high risk customers with only a small deposit.
